For the 19th year, the Abilene Chamber of Commerce and the Taylor County AgriLife Extension Service are proud to co-host the 2018 Texas Farm Ranch and Wildlife Expo (TFRWE) Feb. 20-21 at the Taylor County Expo Center. Sponsored by Lawrence Hall Abilene, this year’s event will feature over 155 booths and continuing education programs for those involved in Agribusiness in the Big Country.
This year’s seminars include cellular feral hog removal, cattle stockmanship and stewardship clinic, town and country women’s fair, continuing education seminars, and ask an Ag attorney featuring James Decker and Stephanie Fryer.
Cattlemen’s Dinner – Balancing Risks and Rewards of Herd Growth
Featuring CattleFax Analyst Lance Zimmerman Feb. 20 at 5:30 pm at the Taylor County Expo Center Display Building. Cost is $10 per person and includes a steak dinner. Sponsored by Central Texas Farm Credit, Lone Star Ag Credit, Capital Farm Credit, and KTXS Television.
Agriculture Scholarship Luncheon
Featuring a Farm and Ranch Policy Update from Washington from Congressman Jodey Arrington, 19th District. The luncheon will honor the Agriculture Family of the Year with a portion of the table proceeds going to local agriculture scholarships. Special guest appearance by Revolution Strings.
