Prime Day is July 11-12 – Here’s What You Need to Know

Prime Day kicks off at 3AM Eastern on July 11 and you can save on everything from necessities, schools supplies and home goods. Prime Day is about saving on practical items as opposed to Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

To take advantage, you have to be an Amazon Prime member. Be sure to download the Amazon app which allows you to get early access to deals and track the products you're interested in.

It is very wise to create an Amazon Wish List to get organized before Prime Day and to ensure that you don't miss out on any deals. Don’t forget that Lightning Deals offer steep discounts for a limited time, so act quickly if you see something you want.

Not be outdone, other companies compete directly against Amazon on Prime Day including Walmart, Target and Best Buy. Best Buy is holding a “Black Friday in July” event that will run July 10-12, while Target will hold its “Target Circle Week” July 9-15.
